Throwing things, Fighting, Yelling, and sometimes self harm. Once i became an employee for “Holistic Life Foundation” i was introduced to Mindfulness/yoga/meditation practices and it played a big part in helping me mature and be more of a proactive thinker instead of a reactive thinker. I learned about the power of being in the present moment; I learned how to clear my mind of wandering thoughts. I even learned how to control my anger and calm down whenever I began to feel stressed. Not only do i get to use these practices for myself but i get to teach the youth of today these same techniques that helped me. In a way it’s truly rewarding; just knowing that you are really impacting their lives in a positive way and giving them tools they can use for the rest of their life. Hopefully down that road they try to make an impact on someone else’s life.
