Holistic Me
Our flagship after school program
Holistic Me is the Holistic Life Foundation's flagship after-school program, which has successfully completed its 21st year of service. This program provides children with the invaluable opportunity to develop their cognitive and social skills in a nurturing, supportive, and secure environment. Our socio-emotional behavioral curriculum emphasizes the importance of yoga, mindfulness, conflict resolution, teamwork, restorative practices, self-care, and stewardship of the environment to develop students' inner lives.
Holistic Me's school-based programming operates during after-school hours and summer breaks. Programming includes academic enrichment, yoga and holistic training, STEAM enrichment activities (i.e. environmental education/advocacy, arts, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, writing, etc.), and sports fundamental training and fitness activities.
As a multifaceted social-emotional learning academic and enrichment extended learning school-based program, Holistic Me is responsible for the smooth delivery of programming and engaging students, guardians, school staff and administration, and organizational staff in a positive and productive manner. Through collaboration with partnering school faculty and staff, Holistic Me seamlessly integrates HLF's curriculum into students' academic curriculum, providing them with enriching activities and experiences.
“Mindfulness promotes critical thinking and teaches respect for others and I’m so thankful that is the basis of this company or I would not be here…
With our neighborhoods being targets for all of America we are providing hope for our people. It’s about community and the betterment for society. These are things I have been fighting for and it’s nice to see like-mindedness.” - HM Group Leader
